Flower tips #1

Hello everyone! Welcome to Rosy Posy’s first ever blog post ;)

For starters, we want to introduce you to our tips and tricks on how to take care of your flowers right after you buy them.

The first step here you just have to prepare the flowers, a flower scissors, and a vase (don’t forget to fill 1/3 of the vase with clean water first okay?) anddd that’s all you need!

What you have to do after you prepare the tools, you have to cut the stems diagonally with the flower scissors, around 1-2 cm per stem. This step is very important because we need to get rid of the dirts on the bottom tip of the stems before we put it in the vase with clean water.

All the bottom tip have to look like this, diagonal. Some of you might ask, “why does it have to be cut diagonally?”. There is a specific reason here, which is to help the stems to absorb water easily. If you cut it flat, it will be harder for the stems to absorb water because it will be rubbing against the bottom of the vase, and the space to let in the water in will be too small.

Next, all you have to do is to get rid of the leaves (just the bottom one). Never put in the flowers to the vase of clean water if they still got some leaves on the bottom of the stems. You don’t need to cut all of the leaves, just leave the upper part uncut because it will help to expand the flower’s life.

And last but not least, you just have to put all of the flowers in the vase and that’s it! If you want these flowers to last longer, then all you have to do is just to cut the stems diagonally like before (daily) and change the water (daily as well). It will be better if you clean the vase itself before putting in new clean water. Last reminder from us, you just have to be diligent and that’s all!

Thank you very much! ;)
